Join us for a truly unforgettable trek across the Baja Peninsula
. This unique trip through the majestic Sierra de la Laguna,
one of Baja's most stunning, but least explored areas, is a
terrific adventure for avid walkers. Total altitude gain is
roughly 6,500 feet, much of which is gained in a 6-7
hour hike the first day.
With burros carrying all your belongings, chefs on hand to do
all the cooking and guides to show the way, you can simply relax
and enjoy the walk through the magnificent scenery. The variation
is incredible. We'll start in the desert, work our way up through
the spiny forests, then on into lush preserves of oak and pine.
When we reach the pinnacle we'll have a sweeping panorama surrounded
by the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean . We’ll have
several opportunities to play in rivers and waterfalls. Warm
showers will be available after hiking each day.
Our guides will prepare all meals, which will include a delightful variety of Mexican dishes - with a certain European flair. Red wine will be available with dinner each evening.
Option 2
2 days/1 night:$175 per person for parties of
2, $150 per person for parties of 3 or more. |

This
2-day/1 night trip is the perfect opportunity to experience
the beauty and magic of the Sierras, without committing so
much of your valuable vacation time. On day 1 we drive into
a secluded part of the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve
and set up camp. We spend the rest of that day hiking along
a lush riverbed to a beautiful desert waterfall. Throughout
the walk we are surrounded by magnificent flora and fauna.
This is an easy, 4-hour walk with no climbing and just a small
amount of walking over boulders. When we return to camp you
can rinse away the efforts of the day with a warm shower,
then enjoy the terrific dinner – accompanied by delicious
Baja wines – that your guide will prepare for you. You'll
sleep comfortably on air mattresses in a cozy tent.
On day 2 you'll wake up to
a fantastic Mexican breakfast. We'll then set out to look
for some of the bird species that are unique to the Sierras,
and enjoy an invigorating hike in the lower foothills of the
Sierras. We'll have you back to town by 4:00 PM .
